There being no God, and wanting there to be no God are different ideas entirely. The former might pose the question, “Does God exist, and if so, how does He see me?” The latter poses the more foolish statement, “I do not care how He sees me, because God does not exist.” To deny God is at best a suppression of the truth, which the apostle Paul expounds in Romans 1, and at worst wishful thinking. Men might wish that God does not exist, but this is a far cry from Him not existing.
